Production Engineer (Metal Fabrication) For Saudi Arabia

Job description and minimum qualification required:

·         Engineer with a college or university degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Production
·         Main Job Purpose: Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.
·         Should be able to plan and supervise the entire production floor consisting of machine shop, the steel fabrication and welding shop, painting and powder coating shop, stainless steel fabrication shop, sheet metal shop and the electroplating shop to assure total compliance to customer requirement and compliance.
·         Factory Production Engineer must have a vast experience in all of the above shop floor together with the required technical know-how on solving day-today and the most trivial technical issues that may arise with respect to fabrications.
·          Use relevant machinery and equipment, advising the worker with proper fabrication technique etc.
·         Assignment & supervision of jobs with skilled and un-skilled workers in the factory
·         Overall labor management which shall include maintaining proper work ethics,
·         Maintaining a clean work environment and enforcement of strict safe-working
·         measures.
·         Fully manage the QA/QC dept. activities together with the QA/QC engineer and
·         prepare relevant QA/QC and Production reports.
·         Fully responsible in successfully achieving the production targets and goals set
·         together with the higher management and preparation of daily and weekly production reports for Top management review.
·          Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
·         Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
·         Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
·         Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
·         Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
·         Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. .
·         Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
·         Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
·         Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
·         Maintains product and process data base by writing computer programs; entering data.
·         Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
·         Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
·         Skills/Qualifications: Dealing with Complexity, Informing Others, Leadership, Supervision, Hardware Specifications, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Product Development, Presenting Technical Information, CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design
·         To designs processes, material and workspace layouts to ensure fast and efficient production. He can do this using drafting tools and design software such as computer aided design. It is also his responsibility to make appropriate adjustments on the design based on feedback from colleagues or clients. The engineer also keeps company management informed and up-to-date on the status of the design process.

·         It is the production engineer’s responsibility to estimate the cost of production and come up with cost-saving methods. If there are any changes in the design of the product, he determines the effect of this on production cost and presents it to management for review and implementation. He develops efficient manufacturing methods based on the firm’s budget allocation, always trying to strike the right balance between quality and cost.
·         As Production engineer of a manufacturing facility must be able to meet targets and deadlines. Timely delivery -- from the raw materials to the finished products. It is also his responsibility to make sure that a product conforms to specifications and standards.
A production engineer’s duties can involve administrative roles such as assigning junior staff duties and shifts. He appraises employees in the production docket and recommends promotions and demotions. He also serves as an adviser to management regarding production-related purchases, quality control and other pillars of production.
